What is a site Surveillance system?

A site surveillance system often called beam system is designed to detect intruders before they might become the burglar. These detectors work in pairs. The transmitter (That sends out a beam of usually infrared light and invisible to the human eye) and the receiver. As soon as the light beam between the pair is being interrupted it will send a signal to a burglary system. There are two basic types, the wireless (solar powered) beam and the hard wired beam.
